Coup de Foudre - March 2024
“Coup de Foudre”, the self titled show by the Brooklyn based contemporary circus troupe Coup de Foudre, of which I am a proud founding member, was the second iteration of a creative fly act combining flying trapeze, acrobatics, dance, aerials, and live music. We pushed the boundaries of traditional flying trapeze by creating and performing never before seen contemporary flying trapeze choreography, including artistic combinations and a focus on dance’s influence and marriage with circus. It was a evening length production, in which I participated as a featured flyer, catcher, and dancer, and was part of the entire research and development team. Coup de Foudre is ever developing and has plans for further shows and appearances.
Classical Remix - July 2024
Classical Remix was a traditional fly act taking place in Boise, Idaho, as part of Circus Vision Collective’s end of season professional pro team performance. I participated as the out of lines catcher, and some of the featured tricks included a double tuck, a flexus/flexus, a cutaway half, 2-fast, and many more. I also completed a bar to bar with dismount.
Just Hit Play “…to be a dream” - November 2022
Just Hit Play was a 25 minute contemporary performance choreographed start to finish to musical artist Mccall’s “…to be a dream” album. It was the first iteration of the now named Coup de Foudre’s signature contemporary circus style. Created as something of an experiment to see how we could mix traditional flying trapeze with contemporary dance, all timed out to an ongoing music album, each song displaying a different theme and style. I was part of the 5 person creation team developing this style, as well as performed as a flyer, catcher, and dancer.
A Haunted Happening - October 2024
A Haunted Happening was the first in a series of theatrical acrobatic experiences entitled “Circus Academy Presents” put on by Circus Academy New York. This piece combined live theater with aerialist performances and a traditional flying trapeze act, all set to a spooky Halloween themed narrative. I participated as an actor, flyer, catcher, choreographer, and featured duo base as part of a full length duo trap act.
